Biography:
Dr Lewis Turmeau studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh before undertaking his Foundation Year 1 training at Wirral University Teaching Hospital. He has a strong interest in orthopaedics and hopes to pursue a career in the specialty. During medical school, he completed a six-week elective at the Wrightington Hospital Upper Limb Unit, gaining exposure to minimally invasive and arthroplasty techniques. He has strong academic interests, with work accepted at national conferences across sports medicine, surgery and medical education. His work on surgical sterility teaching at Edinburgh remains incorporated within the curriculum and has been published in ‘The Clinical Teacher’.
