Biography:
Ola Abu Halawa is a third-year PhD candidate in Social Work at Bar-Ilan University, Israel. She holds a BA in Psychology and an MSW with high honors from Ben-Gurion University, where her master's thesis focused on postpartum depression in women over 40. She is a certified trauma-focused psychotherapist (2021) with over eight years of experience in hospital-based healthcare and crisis intervention. She currently works at Wolfson Medical Center. In addition to her clinical work, she supervises social work students and lectures at nursing schools affiliated with medical centers. Her research explores aging, injury recovery, and the role of psychosocial factors in health outcomes.
