Abstract:
Unani Medicine is also a rich source of classical knowledge on various chronic diseases including arthritis. In Unani system of Medicine this clinical condition is being treated either with single herbal drugs or with compound formulations for centuries. People are getting Since decades various academic organizations are doing safety and efficacy study (revers pharmacology by doing has animal, in vitro, and clinical studies on both single and compound herbal formulations)
This Talk aims to highlight a common clinical problem of Arthralgia and it’s management in Unani Medicines. Various classical systemic as well as topical applications and their and their role in arthralgia shall be discussed.
Biography:
Prof. Munawwar Husain Kazmi is Unani Physician and Scientist with a career spanning more than 36 years. He holds BUMS degree from Delhi University in 1984 and joined as Research Assistant on 17/7/1985, Promoted as Assistant Research Officer on 14/9/1991. Promoted as Research Officer on 1/1/1996. He Passed MD degree in Ilmul Advia (Unani Pharmacology) in 2008 from Mumbai University. He worked as Professor in Post Graduate Department of Unani Pharmacology at CRIUM/NRIUM-SD under CCRUM Govt of India. He has undertaken multiple research projects in drug development and clinical evaluation of single and multicomponent Unani drugs and formulations. He served as the Director of National Research Institute of Unani Medicine for Skin Disorders (Formerly Central Research Institute of Unani Medicine), Hyderabad where, in addition to administrative activities, he is actively involved in teaching and research. He is working as Prof. and Academic Chair in Unani Medicine at Hamdard University Bangladesh. He have more than 130 papers published as Author and Co-Author.
